Hope you like LA, ‘cause that’s what most of this is about. A lot of it will be baseball, a lot of that will be Dodgers. A certified nobody.
3yo daughter: WHY DID YOU HIDE MY TOY IN YOUR OFFICE?

Me: that’s your mom’s, I don’t have an office.

3yo: “Yes you do!”

Me: Baby, I don’t have an office. Show me what you mean.”

3yo: [points to bar]

Watching a compilation of MLB’s Top 20 wild endings of 2025 and guess what, Tommy Kahnle is pitching in three of four of them and it’s not even over yet.

I had been using all my fourth-quarter touchdowns as coasters, but this seems more productive, tbh.

Shohei Ohtani slashed .333/.500/.778 while winning the World Series and wasn’t MVP. We all know why, but dang.

"Not making an offer" is just totally irrelevant to me. People think that's the same thing as "didn't discuss a deal," and it just isn't.

Very excited to see all the “Mets desperately need to re-sign Diaz” pieces turn to “actually Diaz isn’t that good.”

It’s only two years but Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s postseason stats in general and WS specifically are completely bananas:

Postseason: 7-1, 2.25 ERA in nine starts plus one relief appearance, with two of those starts resulting in a CG.

WS: 4-0, 1.13 ERA 0.625 WHIP, 1 CG.

Unbelievable pitcher.

I am thankful the Braves thought they could do better than Freddie Freeman.

Ok, last one:

[Squints] “Which is the 37yo throwing 88mph coming off surgeries and which is the $200M man, again?”

Eagerly awaiting the wailing and gnashing of teeth from national media on the Jays giving out $700M to Guerrero and Cease the past two seasons plus how unfair any deferrals might be and how nobody can compete with Toronto’s unfair spending. I am told baseball media hates that kind of thing.
BREAKING: The New York Post has learned Dylan Cease to Blue Jays. $210M, 7 years

Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace 1, produced in association with Dean Lerner.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

When the MLB postseason player bonus pool is disclosed in the coming weeks I think it’ll break last year’s ~$130M record and the teamside take will pay for last offseason’s clubhouse renovations twice over.

Want to hear something crazy?

Everybody thinks the Blue Jays are a great team that was playing great baseball in October.

They went 7-7 in their last fourteen games, eight of them at home. Add in a 3-1 win over the Yankees in the DS and they went 10-8 in Oct.

October baseball is weird.

Oh, no! Who could possibly want to invest in [checks notes] real estate in NYC now?!?
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

With the Tony Gonsolin era coming to an end in Los Angeles, I’ll just leave this right here:

Goodness gracious, we’re parade day plus one and *already* back to Dodger “concerns,” east-coast sports media?

His teammates responded by going 21-6 to send him off with back-to-back World Series Championships.
