This is a surprisingly good cookbook, and not just if you’re on a diet.

Recipes are simple, tasty, and healthy and based on food people are likely to eat out or order delivered.

Sound off good cookbooks in the responses, everyone give someone you know a cookbook and maybe they will give you one and we can survive the cyber apocalypse

Kids currently only use the broad internet with supervision, but when we are looking something up or watching insta reels with them, we play spot the AI and spot the problems with the search results. For example, we looked up kasuqis (a chiton) mentioned in Molly of Denali and it gave us this:

For younger elementary kids, the Molly of Denali Ice Worms episode is really good for teaching reliable vs unreliable sourcing. Its pre-AI, but still useful because the idea is the same: you need to consider the provenance of your information.

If I were teaching currently (HS level) I'd create an assignment where students would research with AI, and then research the results AI has given them--to determine veracity and identify bias/lies. I'd hope it would make them at least a little suspicious of search results etc.

Also went through showing them real vs meme (often AI generated) "photos" of trump using just an image search. We talked about why people would want these fake images, how they shape those ppls perception of him (heroic, strong, etc), and how its more a scale issue than a new issue (photoshop v AI)

We have also discussed reliable sources vs crank crap made to look like reliable sources because oldest stumbled upon Ancient Aliens. We had to discuss that just because it looks like a documentary, doesnt mean it is. Also talked about motivations for making this fake shit vs AI hallucinating

This was particularly illustrative for them because we'd just watched this episode and wanted to see more Kasuqis, and we KNEW that they really did exist. Interestingly, this is fixed now. Also the kids have learned about verifying sources from Molly, reading Wikipedia, and general history texts

And while we love supporting the museum, I also find 90 bucks for cast plastic a little hard to swallow
