Sometimes, people who have no real understanding of depression like to claim that it isn't real and that people should just cheer up or snap out of it.

This is 100% that level of critical lack of both understanding and empathy, combined with massive hubris.

Wanted to do a portrait today using my 105mm f/2.5 Nikkpr-P today, bit it turns out I haven't done the AI conversion on it yet. Time to get out the tiny screwdrivers and a file.

It still works for me.

If you see a business using AI images to represent real products. Boycott and shame them.

It's no masterpiece, but years later I'm still pretty pleased with this, as far as notebook doodles go.

I hate this shit.

If you're selling something real and using AI product images, you're a fraud. If you're selling the AI images, you're a hack and a fraud.

When I see a business using AI bullshit in their marketing, or at all really, they're dead to me.

I am not alone in this.

Going to put together a night photography workshop in Tokyo, mostly focused on long exposures and tripod work.

Who's interested? I've got a few questions for you.

PROTIP for film photographers out there: if you have a label printer, those labels go through film development just fine, so you can use them to track camera test rolls, make your own twin checks, etc. I use a lot of different cameras, and I find this very helpful.

A quick dispatch from the park on a Tuesday afternoon, where I just had a chat about cameras (in Japanese, and I did ok!)

Wanting to sell physical copies now, not sure if I want to save up and get a run printed commercially, or just print at the conbini as needed. Investment vs print-on-demand. The former is cheaper and better quality, the latter is more accessible.

Won't even know the initial results of this round of IVF until later this week, but apparently my looking for resources already has algorithms serving me suggestions like this.

Added a small spider plant to the terrarium just to see that happens. Hoping the isopods/pill bugs don't immediately eat like they (adorably) eat everything else.

In all seriousness, though, you wouldn't believe how much a small community of pill bugs can eat.

I will never not be fascinated by the complexity of the geometry of urban spaces.

No wonder so many things have gone wrong in my life. I've been interacting with small animals and must have offended some deities as a result.

Also, must have hallucinated the Japanese people I was eating onigiri on the street with yesterday. And all the other people eating and drinking outside...

Fair enough.

But FWIW here's some cross-processed Kodak E200 that was a decade expired and stored badly

He burrowed under the blankets again.

Sound on for the noise his ears make when he shakes his head.

I have a delightful animal here. He's just the best. Currently on my shoulder, purring loudly enough the neighbors might hear

Listening to this album with my whole fucking heart.
