As excited as I am to see Mamdani win, really irritating to see pundits so quickly say that it's just a New York thing, and that the lesson of last night is that Democrats need to run more centrists like Spanberger.

My kids school assigned him a lengthy book about Henry Ford, as a brilliant inventor. I am saying nothing to his teachers.
But my son is getting lengthy explanations about what a creep Ford was and what happened to the workers at Ford plants.

Seeking good sources critiquing AI. My little university is starting the year with a workshop on "how to ethically teach AI" and while I'm fully convinced of the contradictions there, I'd like more people to cite if possible.

My goal for this coming academic year: as little free "service" to the university as possible. They can treat faculty like peons but we don't have to treat ourselves as unpaid labor.
