Performative "allies" will never miss a chance to pick a (verbal) fight with oppressors, whether or not they stick around for it. Meaningfully standing with oppressed people means respecting and LISTENING TO them enough to know how to pick the right battles - NEVER picking those battles FOR them.

If a very out and proud queer or trans family member or friend is suddenly presenting and behaving in a cis/heteronormative fashion, and anyone asks you about it: no, you did not know of them looking, talking, or acting ANY other way in the entire time you've known them. 🤐

"Mass deportations" are a calculated provocation. They WANT someone somewhere to fight back, to lash out in some way in defense of the victims of these fascists. They WANT violent acts they can use as pretext for the Enabling Act-esque endgame they've been planning for years.

Grew up being taught I was "called" to "save" my friends. Never thought that "calling" would be to save my friends from American Christianity. Wild stuff. 😳
