@totalusrankium.bsky.social I'm working my way through the Americans presidents series (hi, it's the person that binged the entire roman series 1 and 2 in the space of a year a couple years ago!) and Im just working through Obama pt.3. I distinctly remember talking about Bin Laden being killed (1/?)

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

Just to follow up on what @sarahebond.bsky.social said, the idea that in *50BC* Rome failed to solve a population decline and that led to the collapse of their civilization is so unfathomably historically illiterate it's hard to even know where to begin

I think I have the touch of death for monthly yarn subscriptions. I did knit crate for a whole. They went belly up. I did yarnofmydreams for a while. Then one month their sub page was just gone. Now it's arcane fibreworks??? I hope the page is just down for maintenance 🥲
