very angry that Bin Laden was given a funeral that respected the rules laid out according to Islam. I assure you, the conservative folks I grew up around certainly found a way to hate Obama, even for that. Which is wild.

in one of my high school classes. I grew up in a pretty conservative/Republican area (we don't need to talk about the sheer number of abhorrent racial slurs about the man I distinctly remember being shouted in my high school halls when Obama got elected. It was bad) and I remember people being (2/?)

I fear (....hope) that if he were a roman emperor he would absolutely manage to get his praetorian guard to coup him hard and in the face.

Not all heros wear capes. Someone's they're wearing well styled and tailored menswear.

That's not fair, he's giving us a soon to be opened gender neutral bathroom as his final act.

Admittedly that's the only positive thing I can say about him.

"I think empathy is a made up New Age term that does a lot of damage" - Charlie Kirk 2023

Making fun of him for dying to the very thing he advocated for is exactly what he would have wanted us to do.

If not paedophile, why paedophile shaped conviction?

Nah, that's small potatoes. Clearly we gotta blame Obama for this one.

Makes sense. Zojirushi's are the best of the best of makers (in the US. Across the pond in the UK, Panasonic seems to be the favorite). I'm hoping my kitchenarm lasts me a good long while, but when it does bite the dust, my plan was to go for a zoji.

That was something I looked for when picking what machine to get, since I know that GF breads tend to be a lot tougher on the machines and I wanted something that'll last me a good long while if I was buying new.

I know there are a few brands out there that do have ceramic pans, is why I ask. The brand I bought for myself (which has a non-ceramic pan) was a kitchenarm, btw. They're not as big of a brand but I've been seeing a lot of gluten free and specifically celiac folks giving it good reviews online.

them are quite as reactive to gluten because at least one friend was fine with coming over and cooking in my (then) nonstick pans (I have stainless steel now) that were thoroughly cleaned but not to full standards.

Another question: would a ceramic bread pan be able to be successfully de-glutened?
May 30, 2025 at 5:39 PM
I'm not myself gluten free, though I have friends who are. I don't cook for them because I know that I don't have the knowledge to do so safely. But I have made sure to make note of what brands for certain things they *can* have so I can still provide snacks and stuff. I also don't think any of

Genuine question: The KitchenAid uses stainless steel bowls though. Can those not be de-glutened? Or at the very least replace the bowl and mixing attachments instead of the entire $500 mixer?

I just bought myself a new bread maker for under $100 USD. Admittedly, it was on sale and at full price it would be $130 USD. There are a few brands out there that aren't as expensive if you can catch them on sale.

Ah, thanks for correcting me! I did not know.

I want you to know I just liked that post because I was specifically searching for bread machine stuff to fuel my bread obsession. No algorithm necessary.

Also they're super easy to thrift. Most are gently used and in perfectly good working order even if they're like 30 years old. You'll just want to be sure to deep clean them really well if youre gluten free. Honestly 10/10, everyone should have a bread machine with grocery prices these days.
