There’s almost a puppetry-like acrylic texture and look to their designs that feels deliberate, works for what it is though it’s still funny to just suffice with “French”.

The artifice of poptimism and its attempts at cultural reinforcement ring hollow and often feel intellectually insulting, no matter how well-intentioned it might be from particular voices. It’s why ‘hopepunk’ will never be an actually viable literary idea. It’s all missing the forest for the trees.

This is also why there were so many Buddha statues in Afghanistan (at one point home to the Graeco-Bactrian Kingdom and its Indo-Greek successors), some of which were detonated by the Taliban.

I love them and campaign two is my favorite, so I’ve been eagerly anticipating this one. It’s promising so far! And, though the animation was hardly poor in TLoVM, you can see how much more they’ve added to the quality of this one.
