Today I honor Army 1st LT. Daniel B. Hyde (1985 - 2009) who was killed 3/7/09 when an IED exploded under his Humve on a road outside Tikrit, Iraq.
First in his class at West Point. An exemplary officer. He had a profound effect on all those around him. He is missed. I knew Dan from his birth.
