This has nothing to do with anything and will seem really out of left field, but...

Almost everyone is wrong about M3GAN 2.0. This movie was so much fun.

I just really wanted to get that off my chest because people whose opinions I normally respect are either meh or negative on this movie.

Regarding the "pro-democracy" vs "anti-democracy" split within social anarchism...

I used to be much more firmly in the former camp, but lately, I've come around to more of a "Can't we all get along?" position.

To at least some extent, it's a semantic issue, and to the extent it's not ...

re: A future social anarchist economic system

While I haven't changed with regard to wanting a future economy that's stateless, marketless, and moneyless ...

I think we need to move beyond the old idea of how this will look. There's actually a few things that can be learned from market anarchists.

Calling all anarchist/libertarian socialist academics.

There is work being done right now to create the editorial board for a scholarly journal focusing on anarchist/libertarian socialist political science and philosophy. A university associated publisher is already arranged.

While I know that my side of the political divide tends to be more distrustful and oppositional than not towards generative AI, I have to say that I personally find ChatGPT really helpful as an autistic person

It's nice having an AI to pester with inane questions instead of bothering real people

I'm convinced that most Christmas movies take place in an imaginary mutualist economy.

How else do you explain all of the small niche businesses (candlemakers, hot chocolate shops) and lack of any great wealth disparities?

Murray Bookchin would love this.

It's basically what he described as his metaphysical position: dialectical naturalism.

"The team's "law of increasing functional information" says evolution in all its forms inevitably leads to more patterning, diversity, and complexity in natural complex systems"
Missing 'Law of Nature' Found That Describes The Way All Things Evolve
Could this help us find life elsewhere?

Something I've noticed with regard to both myself and many other autistic people:

Moments in which other people perceive us at our most "aggressive" are, in fact, the moments where we are selves feel our most vulnerable.

Especially with regard to meltdowns.

I've never really bought into the "An armed populace is a bulwark against tyranny" argument, but now I believe it less than ever.

In a state that allows private gun ownership, the people will never be more well-armed than the state itself.

It's a false freedom giving the illusion of popular power.

Watched a news video about the possible AMOC collapse in 2025 and came across a comment that said

"I've been telling people about problems like this since the 1970s. We need to start having fewer children or we're doomed"

I want to SCREAM.

"Overpopulation" is the most infuriating fake problem.

"Creators Deserve To Be Paid" is a propaganda slogan wielded primarily by the industry executives who are doing their best to see that creators don't get paid.
Downloading doesn't affect sales much unless you're REALLY greedy and seriously overcharging. "Pirated" content is actually free advertising
and those were the days when you still had better deals for creators, however silly that may seem. and now the studios and platforms screwed everyone so bad that there even isn't a 'the creator won't get paid' argument.

they aren't getting shit anyway, piracy really became a victimless issue.

I think we should ditch the term upper-middle class and replace it with lower-upper class.

Because their role in society and the economy is far more of a commanding one than the category of the "middle" would suggest.

That top 20% (outside the richest 1%) are the surplus elite.

State/corporate-caused climate change will have the same destructiveness of a major World War, and we should start treating it like that.

I strongly recommend any kid exposed to Atlas Shrugged also be given a copy of Walkaway by Cory Doctorow, because it's about the REAL motors of the world leaving to create cooperative, self-governing communities and abandoning the billionaire parasites to fend for themselves.

Not in the film/TV industry myself, but it seems like beyond labor considerations, the consumer should support the strikers because everything AMPTP wants would make movies worse.

Ah, fresh start on a new app.

I hearby officially disavow absolutely everything bad I said on the previous app. Yes, especially that.

Here's hoping the extra 20 characters will enable a little bit of nuance.
