If you are wondering why it’s harder to get an interview when applying directly:
Consider that the number of applications per role are up, by a LOT. For dev roles, a lot. And increasingly more are AI-generated, and noise from the POV of the hiring manager.

it's interesting that the sudden explosion in users isn't necessarily because of features or marketing or whatever
I wonder what the split is between products that had hockey-stick growth through factors within their control, and those that had that rapid growth through mainly external factors
