I'm a guest on this episode of #ReelBritannia podcast. It's worth a listen if only to hear Glynis Johns referring to her "buzzy" on several occasions.

After a long absence, Soho Bites will be returning in the New Year! Hurrah! In preparation for an interview for the next episode, I'm reading a scholarly article about pornography. Does it make me very immature to find this citation funny? #ooer #fnaarfnaar sohobitespodcast.com

I'd never heard of this Wardour St institution. Interesting piece by @mikepress.bsky.social & Jackie Hopfinger on the always interesting Walk on the Wild Side side substack.

Some lovely footage of racially diverse old Soho in this. Shame it was posted by a proper gammon but the commenters don't let him off the hook. www.thepoke.com/2025/09/01/a...

THREAD: You may have noticed that there hasn’t been an episode of Soho Bites for many months now. This is because, now that I’m freelance, I have to prioritise work that pays and, sadly, Soho Bites just doesn’t do that 1/3

A Soho classic is back on @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social tomorrow at 11:40am - #CoverGirlKiller (1959). We spoke to Luke Dixon about in back in episode 17: sohobitespodcast.com/episode/17 & the great @farndale.bsky.social also dropped in to talk about smut. www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-19...

Very sad to hear the news that Barry Fantoni died last month. Baz made several contributions to the podcast including talking about "Smashing Time" in episode 19: sohobitespodcast.com/episode/19. I hope he managed to hang on until after 5pm on the day he died for one last G&T.
The Eye is sad to record the loss of Barry Fantoni, who died on 20 May 2025 aged 85 in Turin.

An appreciation of his extensive contribution to Private Eye, with examples of his illustrations and cartoons, and memories from his friends and colleagues appears in the current issue.

Tonight was the final London Live News at 6 programme.
