A couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and added the Soho Bites Podcast feed to YouTube and am amazed at the number of views of what are essentially audio podcasts with a single image! Who'd of thunk it? Fellow podcasters - I recommend you do the same...

Happy to report that a plaque has been installed in St Paul's Covent Garden in remembrance of John Hester who served as the unconventional Rector of Soho in the years before the big clean-up. We spoke to John's son, Alex, about his dad waaaay back in episode 7. sohobitespodcast.com/episode/07

Carol Reed’s brilliant, “The Fallen Idol” (1948) is on Film4 tomorrow at 2:55pm. It’s not even close to being a Soho film, but we did talk to the film’s young star (now no longer young), Bobby Henrey, back in episode 42 sohobitespodcast.com/episode/42

Now that we've hit the 100 followers mark, perhaps it would be a good time to flag this up. Recently, @norloll.bsky.social and I were guest boffins on the new @BFI release of early Michael Powell films. I still haven’t been able to watch it though because I don’t own a Blue-ray player.
