the question is, to what degree is it possible for Electoral Moderation Pragmatists to recognize that having won governing majorities, they need to pivot away from Electoral Moderation to Actually Governing in ways that can lock in future majorities not by messaging but with the power of the state

If ANY politician tries to restrict meat consumption, I will vote them out. This goes for Trump and his stupid tariffs too. Fuck off, vegans.
i'm convinced if we ever tried to touch the rail of meat politics in America (something that's going to eventually need to happen in order to reduce CO2 emissions), it would lead to a huge right-wing shock
remembering the time a random catholic priest got mad at me about a hypothetical about the government restricting meat production on the other site

meat politics is going to be insane for the next Dem administration which takes climate change seriously, imo

The deal would include a promised vote on extending Obamacare tax credits in December, the sources said. It could also include some kind of language to help federal workers who have been laid off under the shutdown.

Deal to end government shutdown in reach
At least 10 Senate Democrats are expected to support a key procedural motion.

It’s not strange. Democrats are weak and useless. PRIMARY EVERY DEMOCRAT KICK THEM ALL OUT
Dems finally have Trump sweating and poking the GOP Senate over the filibuster, it’s a strange time to be looking for an offramp.

A House of Dynamite was fantastic. The final scenes of the cowering, indecisive ruling class are incredibly poignant. The farce of the Republic itself is laid bare with the sec def character. America is a degenerated, rotten empire.
