Welp, they officially Mario Kart Worlded Ring Racers. They botched the single player experience with a horrible placement system and the devs say they refuse to change it. I loved it so much before and now it’s one of my least favorite kart racers. Fuck.

As someone who has tried to kill themselves before: saying “things will get better” to someone who is suicidal doesn’t help. If anything, it makes it worse, because it makes me feel disconnected, like if you think just saying that will make me believe it, then you really don’t know what it’s like to be suicidal, you don’t understand what I’m going through. It’s hard to feel solace when no one around you knows what it’s like to be in your position. It’s the equivalent of saying “dude just trust me”. Why should I believe it? If you’re someone who actually WAS suicidal and are saying it because things got better for you then that’s better cuz there’s at least some anecdotal evidence behind it, you still being here is the evidence, but you also surely gotta understand how weak of an argument it is. Not only is the person in question not in the right headspace to exactly be optimistic, but just because it worked out for you doesn’t mean it’ll work out for me. Our situations and the core problems that cause them could be entirely different. Is it POSSIBLE things get better? Maybe, I don’t know, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. And while I’m at it, can we PLEASE stop it with the “you can’t kill yourself, that’s what these facist freaks want!” Telling people they’re bad people/morally incorrect for wanting to kill themselves typically doesn’t make them want to kill themselves any less!
