The genius behind removing most of the substories for Kiwami 3 is that players who do care about the trans substory are going to be deeply hurt and upset and players who don’t will be pissed off anyway because you took out like 70 side quests.

What's further upsetting about the removal of that substory in Yakuza 3 is that the character model for Ayaka (and her voice) were the likeness of the VERY REAL transwoman Ayana Tsubaki. So the game just erased an actual trans woman.

thought about this again and honestly yeah my ideal FFXV re-release would have VII Remake-inspired combat and Nomura taking release XV's story and world and just adding onto it and making it way more fleshed out and restoring old beta elements
It will literally never happen but if Square were to ever remaster/remake Final Fantasy XV with a more fleshed out story and elements from Versus XIII brought back, they should call it Versus XV. Just do it.

This is not Discord “walking things back.” This is them further explaining the situation in more detail, and elaborating on how the new system will work. I understand the impulse to attribute this to outrage and Nitro cancellations, but this is just a better explanation, not a change.
Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)
