#FluidLinks Objects of desire for Christmas presents - which do you pick? 1) Missing Episode return - The Feast of Steven. 2) Sandbaggers action dolly set with 3 figures. 3) Build your own screen accurate scale model of the iconic spiral staircase some people are obsessed with. 🤷‍♂️

That’s just brilliant. Incredible how much tastes have changed in 125 years. The list of Sweets and the single bananas for sale are wonderful. 👏👏👏

That’s gorgeous. Best I can offer is this one in Frome, Somerset. Thought it was a pub, but not so sure looking at it again. More likely I had just wandered out of a pub…

But did it appear in The Sandbaggers? Surely that’s the big question…

It’s Theydon Bois, on the central line heading east, that always strikes me as a bizarre name. Sounds like a character from Dickens. It took me over a decade to realise it was pronounced Theydon Boys and not said with an ‘Allo ‘Allo mock-French accent as Theydon “Bwoir”.

I absolutely adore that cover. Not sure if it’s the design, the heavy black background or nostalgia for collecting Spider-Man in my 60s childhood. I’ve also got a particular affection for the Shocker’s costume, an unusual quilted brown and yellow affair. You wouldn’t get that nowadays!

I could spot AI pretty easily on Zygons, as every actor seemed to have had a face lift and Botox, but wasn’t aware of it at all on Androids. As much as I have always liked Barry Letts, it also became immediately evident that Camfield was a much, much better director, as indeed was Paddy Russell.

UFO follows a similar pattern, from episodes that define the format of the show at the start of the series to those that go bat-shit crazy.

To be fair, that was precisely my reaction, and I’m sure many other people’s. Delighted that the programme isn’t “dead”! Russell can be a brilliant writer, but the last 2 seasons were even more hit and miss than usual, with both season endings feeling like heavyweight duds. 🤞🤞🤞
