Spotted at the beautifully atmospheric Wilton’s Music Hall near Whitechapel. Saveloys, pats of butter and coffee as a real luxury.

Came across a rather odd TARDIS or two over the years: Chelsea flower show, between St Paul’s and the Barbican and an eccentric front door in Frome. All strangely charming, as if from an alternate universe with Peter Cushing about to emerge.

That’s gorgeous. Best I can offer is this one in Frome, Somerset. Thought it was a pub, but not so sure looking at it again. More likely I had just wandered out of a pub…

Lee Miller @ Tate Britain. Her war photos are brilliant, capturing a sense of alienation and dislocation. Fantastic exhibition, if a little too crowded at times.

Lee Miller at Tate Britain. I’m not usually interested in “fashion” photos, but she added a touch of unsettling surrealism and brutality. Brilliant exhibition.

Happy 60th Birthday, Thunderbirds. My favourite episode, amongst many, was this.

Poly Styrene was an absolute one off. Great singer and writer. This is her house in St. Leonard’s, by Hastings, Sussex, on the south coast. A fittingly bohemian area for her to have lived in.

Peter Davison (Doctor Who obvs) giving a wonderful performance in episode 5 of the BBC tv version of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He plays a space cow that disconcertingly wants to be eaten by the customers at the restaurant at the end of the universe - the best scene in the whole programme.

After years of waiting, for good or for bad, I am finally about to enter what I believe is now known as The Sandbaggerverse. I wonder who is to blame for pricking my curiosity? 🧐🧐🧐

Peter Davison giving a wonderful performance, if brief, in episode 5 of the BBC tv version of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He plays a space calf that disconcertingly wants to be eaten by the customers at the restaurant at the end of the universe - the best scene in the whole programme.

How very dare you describe the Third Doctor’s bouffant as “Nan” hair!!! Outrageous. This photo of the Pertwee Doctor fighting an alien menace in Terror of the Autons proves just how wrong you are!!! 😡😤

Good player, but doesn’t want to play left-back, apparently. Some at Chelsea have christened him 70s Pornstar. Can’t think why…

Love the band, but the hair is soooo last century. I believe this is how all the kids have their hair these days.
