just gonna bump this since i kind of want to retry this project !! looking for any #splatoon3 dataminers that may be able to help me find a key used for LAN networking. can provide more info in DMs, also can DM on discord (@soapful) if easier
LOL i had a theoretical idea for a way to make a full fledged game API (works on LAN only though) but we ended up cutting it for being wayyyy out of scope (and i needed some smart dataminer to help me with a certain step which we could not find)

X is a solo mode but playing together is not a concept only relegated to comp; there are patterns in how people play and how maps flow that you can and SHOULD learn while grinding.

I feel like our top level and maybe scene as a whole is bad at learning from 1 sided games and tries to avoid them. Unless you are literally 100-0 KOing every single match there is stuff to learn from. The inability to do so speaks to an inability to properly review matches more then anything else.
Splatoon is the only comp game where I've seen people actively avoid practice because they don't want to lose too many games which makes them think they aren't learning anything which just doesn't make any sense to me

Also just a brief note when we talk about "playing faster" a lot of it carries the same energy as "just stop feeding" there's a million different ways to speed up the game and 90% of them are not strictly better. Going faster the right way requires understanding of a lot of other mechanics.

My only concern is that there’s still a lot of custom options that are missing for events. Tiebreakers are one of them that I often have concern over. If the rest of the community didn’t move over so fast I would be heavily against it but ppl make it like “if you aren’t here, what are you out doing”

Genuine question: How can the CCA capture your attention and get your interest in our events?
Splatoon community always talks about wanting consistent teams and the CCA is by far one of the best at having consistent brands by nature of collegiate esports, but sometimes numbers don't reflect that.

Catching up on weekend tournaments and it is always interesting to watch all modes.
Sad to see so many upsets crumble when teams play Clam Blitz. It is the only mode that can punish you for holding a lead and the SZ grinders lack nuance when playing.
They are much more comfy playing from behind.
