Friendly reminder that Congress had enough phone calls coming in last February that it was actively causing the phone system to crash and they had to progressively work to upgrade it over several nights to ensure it could handle the call volume.
If enough people call, it disrupts the system.

I'm seeing a lot of posts to call your reps but little on actually how. 5calls.org is a great site where you can put in your zip code and get numbers for your house representative and two senators. You also can get a script if you're like me and stumble over your thoughts.

I don't have much of a wrapup this year like everyone else, my retirement video and channel year in review pretty much say everything I could on those fronts. I feel in general I've taken a few steps back in my involvement in the larger scene, which has been healthy and long needed.

2025 has been a hectic year, in a good way.
Started working, been together with my wonderful boyfriend for nearly 2 years now. And somehow managing to maintain Splatoon, and regular uploads and streams through it all. Admittedly it's been a lot, but above all great memories!

Something I've learned over time is that most misinformation (in general) isn't blatent lying, its information being conveyed with some truth to it, that makes it a lot harder to catch. Often times this isn't even done intentionally, and is easier when emotions are high.
