I captured two different snails in one pic! The bigger one is the one that surprised me earlier, it is currently 21mm long. There's also a third type of snail living in the tank which I believe is gyraulus of some type.

wtf is this? It is big! I haven't bought a snail??

Crazy how things can spontaneously appear in fish tanks.

I kinda like it though.

I was able to get rid of most of the hair algae from my new tank by changing the light but now I have cyanobacteria instead.

My nitrates are staying 0 or below 10, I guess I don't have enough bioload? This is the 1st time I'm trying to balance a tank of this size, the smaller ones have been easier.

I'm trying to grow #chili peppers for the first time and it looks like I might actually get a few. 🌶 I don't know what to do with them yet, some jam maybe?

The red phantoms have gotten used to their new home and are beginning to show some more colour! Can't wait to see how they look when they're all grown up.

Vampire shrimp (atya gabonensis)

I love these guys and I'm so happy my setup works so well for them.
They can get even larger (those tubes are 4-5cm wide and I have seen a specimen fill them) and they can live up to 15 years. Here's to 10 more years!

The isopods and springtails are doing well in their new box and they seem very healthy. I'm still working with my aphid infested terrarium, it is starting to look better now but it is a lot of work.

My black skirt tetras just laid eggs 😯 They will be eaten by the loaches though, I don't have a breeding setup available. Interesting to see it happen nevertheless!

The elusive atya acabra is still doing fine. I've yet to figure out how a shrimp of this size is so good at hiding.
