I captured two different snails in one pic! The bigger one is the one that surprised me earlier, it is currently 21mm long. There's also a third type of snail living in the tank which I believe is gyraulus of some type.

Hello
October 25, 2025 at 10:12 AM
wtf is this? It is big! I haven't bought a snail??

Crazy how things can spontaneously appear in fish tanks.

I kinda like it though.

Sure, here's the full thing atm, kinda bad pic but you can see what's going on. I had ludwigia in the right corner but it didn't want to live so it's empty for now 😅

She was so skinny when I got her but look at her now 🤣

I'm trying to grow #chili peppers for the first time and it looks like I might actually get a few. 🌶 I don't know what to do with them yet, some jam maybe?

The red phantoms have gotten used to their new home and are beginning to show some more colour! Can't wait to see how they look when they're all grown up.

The isopods and springtails are doing well in their new box and they seem very healthy. I'm still working with my aphid infested terrarium, it is starting to look better now but it is a lot of work.

Here's the bristlenose 😊
May 19, 2025 at 4:29 PM
I bought 4 #pangio kuhlii last week, I think I'm now satisfied with my pangio group of 14 individuals. 😊 Also got a little bristlenose pleco. My algae situation is pretty bad at the moment, I'll try to find a solution for that now before I continue stocking.

Last week I added 4 #pangio oblonga to the loach squad, I finally managed to get a good picture of one. 🖤 The anguillaris also seem to be more active now.

I made some tannin soup yesterday from catappa leaves and alder cones. Loving the blackwater vibes 🖤

Here's a full picture of the new tank. There's sooo much algae right now but it should get better once the plants grow to their full size and cover some of that intense light.

One of my new pangios seems to have a bit different pattern than the rest, I wonder if they just have natural color variation or if they're actually different species. 🤔 5 of them have that clear horizontal stripe and the different one (on the right) has more spots. Any #pangio #kuhli experts here?

I decided to add two more fish to the black skirt school and also some noodles to the bottom! The noodles are pangio anguillaris (=kuhli loaches). Now I'll let the tank rest at least a week before adding anything new.

New tank got its first inhabitants today, 8 black skirt tetras 🖤 Plants are currently a melting mess and algae is blooming but it's part of the process.

Here's how the tetra tank has evolved. I took the wood out and moved it to the bigger tank, it took too much space. Plants got a big trim too, the moss especially is growing insanely fast.

New tank arrived. Now the most boring part of the hobby, the leak test.
