If this was 10 years ago, I’d agree. But we need to recognize the reality we’re in. We are in a different world. The US election was a disinformation election combined with mass legacy media failure. It is literally ceding power to far right anti-democracy forces to NOT band together to stop them

Weekly reminder that there are 240,000 homeless people in Ontario. To give this context, there are 600,000 homeless people in the US, which has 10X Canada’s population. This is the result of provincial government policy. Imagine how we could change this with Universal Basic Income. #onpoli

NEW: Ontario's Liberals are releasing what they are calling "hidden" healthcare data on access to primary care:

- 3 million people are at risk of losing their family doctor in the next 5 years, with 2,300 family doctors on the verge of retirement.

Dam right it's worse. Doug Ford and Sylvia Jones are deliberately letting our healthcare system burn to the ground so they can bring privatization to the rescue. We are Canada, not the USA. This needs to be exposed!!!
Ontarians have had enough. We need to fight! #onpoli @maritstilesndp.bsky.social

- 205 communities don't have a single family doctor

- 4.1 million people are not rostered with a family doctor.

Crombie claims the healthcare data shows that the family doctor shortage is worse than the 2 million people the government says don't have access.

So I made this chart to put things in context.

I am once again asking The Democrats to make Project 2025 a topic of national conversation.

0.5-0.8%. When you take a step back it’s striking how much of the discussion about the carbon tax in Canada - the easiest and least intrusive environmental policy intervention available, more or less, which conservatives say drives up food prices - is predicated on a total lie.
How do carbon taxes affect food prices? In our latest paper, @dr_jen_winter and I analyze both direct and indirect impacts across the entire food supply chain: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5024885
