Now, this could absolutely change in the next few weeks, if some councilmember takes up the fight. It's not much money, roughly $1.6 million to implement the initiative.

1) The Senate will be 53-47 GOP while Dems represent 53.5% of the 50-state population
2) 51% of Americans live in the 9 biggest states & get 18 senators; 16% in the 25 smallest states get 50
3) CA is > the 21 smallest states combined & 67 times > WY
4) 4 million citizens in DC & PR get 0 senators

I'm loving all the Blue Sky starter packs. Very helpful as I recreate communities I miss from other sites. Does anyone have a good one focused on local DC politics/transportation/housing?

Sounds like a great way to support local news. So much important governing happens at the local level, with too little oversight. I rely on outlets like WCP & WAMU, and want to keep them around. washingtoncitypaper.com/article/6338...
