Hell yeah and even when you do get some practice the auto modes are still useful. If I’m doing bird stuff in rapidly changing light I’ll usually use auto ISO and let it manage that so I can keep the shutter speed and aperture I want

And that way you can still take nice photos while you learn what all the parameters are so you can manage them yourself (or don’t and use it on full auto forever it’s your camera lol)

Yes. There should be one on the ISO and exposure dials on the camera body and one on the aperture ring on the lens

When you do get a memory card if you set all the dials to the red “A” it’ll do everything for you you just point and shoot

After a metric fuckton of friggin around here it is. 518/583 exposures accepted by Siril, registered and stacked. Stretched and processed it to the best of my very limited ability. Pretty happy with it as the stars of the Pleiades really stand out along with a tiny bit of detail from merope nebula

It’s always unreal to me especially with big wide bodies like the A330 that 2 people sequestered in a little room at the very upper front of this giant machine can bring it down from tens of thousands of feet in the air and set it down gently on a ribbon of asphalt

Yes but at the same time the hydrogen that is likely fuelling that star is the same stuff that’s in the water that comprises most of our bodies. Cuts both ways!!

As leery as I am of Carney’s past as a central banker I don’t know who else in Canadas political landscape would have been equipped to handle the times we’re in at all let alone as deftly as he seems to be.
