“Putin will destroy your infrastructure, but he’ll be very generous in his prices while charging you to fix it.”
This is an absolutely unhinged thing to say about a country that was invaded, bombed, and terrorized by Russia. Calling Putin “generous” while Ukraine is fighting for its survival tells you everything about where Trump’s loyalties actually lie.

An modern authoritarian regime without hereditary succession basically has to rely on incompetents to run it. Anyone competent is a threat, no matter how hard they perform to ingratiate themselves.

I see a lot of people swearing by the sobriety movement, almost to a degree that you have to wonder how much they were drinking before they quit. Like it must have really been destroying their lives. I’m grateful that I never let alcohol become something so destructive in my life.

Is it that the world is just turning to authoritarianism, or have people gotten way too drunk on “Ackchyually” contrarianism?

Things we learn:

1. Bovino's existence is the result of chain migration, which MAGA wants to ban

2. His family arrived legally under an immigration law MAGA wants to repeal

3. His father killed a woman while driving drunk, a crime for which MAGA aims to deport immigrants

And much more. Read it.
Greg Bovino’s the star of Trump’s deportation show. We trace his roots.
As a boy, the Hollywood movie “The Border" set the course for his life. He couldn’t believe the Border Patrol agents in the movie were the bad guys. Now that he’s in charge of deportation efforts caus...

Hey, at least they found a use for crypto!
Crypto casinos have become a multi-billion dollar industry. One of the ways they've grown is with an unusual marketing strategy: paying millions to internet celebrities to livestream themselves gambling for hours.

The woman in that video who used racial slurs on film when customers were being rude to her (and no, that doesn’t make it ok) has raised tens of thousands of dollars online. It says so much about how “owning the libs” is more important than consequences of your actions on the Right nowadays

All these arguments about how the stuff we have is obsolete ignore how badly other countries want what we have.

You know who doesn't think drones can replace cruise missiles? Ukraine.

You know who doesn't think carriers and next gen fighters are obsolete? China.

Not only looking for a savior in politicians, but in things like crypto and blockchain technologies
This may explain some people, but how does it explain the many voters I meet who voted for Obama and then for Trump? They are just looking for a savior, and if one didn't succeed, they'll move on to the next who promises even more.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social got Trump so charmed that Trump posted two photos of the two of them with Franklin Roosevelt’s portrait behind them AND one of just Mamdani and FDR’s portrait.

NEW: After fighting to keep emails between Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office and billionaire Elon Musk’s companies secret, officials have released nearly 1,400 pages of documents to The Texas Newsroom.

All but about 200 pages are blacked out.
