† when they did finally build moderation they tacked it on at the AppView level which is why/how they can do these global bans that essentially erase someone from history and when they did that to beloved Link, Blacksky discovered they had to build their own I think basically from scratch

Then there was rampant anti blackness here that drove many away ( they even hemmed and hawed and dragged their feet when people forced them to stop allowing n-word and r-word usernames ) and getting them to build a trust & safety team required them relying on a community member who abused blocklists
