I met a veteran at No Kings today. He told me in ‘68 at 18 he was drafted for ‘Nam yet he couldn’t even vote. Had to be 21. Resolved then and there to never take democracy for granted. He’s 75 and still fighting for it #respect.

I absolutely believe this.
When leaders do not fight for their people, the people fight for themselves. They’re not good at it bc that’s not their job. There have been many crimes, significant violence, and harm to both law enforcement and civilians. None of this was necessary. Our president is gleefully provoking this.
