Another anemic defense of the indefensible. Regrettably unsurprising. Never fails to disappoint.
Ask the married women in your district who took their husband's last name how they feel about this given that many are about to be disenfranchised.
🧵 There are a lot of misleading claims out there about the SAVE Act. Let me set the record straight: I voted for the SAVE Act for the simple reason that American elections are for Americans. Requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote is common sense.

Yes, where are our reps?
there were multiple reporters outside of the institute of museum and library services today as DOGE invaded their headquarters, but not a single elected official.

something to consider when thinking about who’s actually defending democracy.

Shuttering the Department of Education is a WRECK in the making!

The casualties:

Rural Communities

Low-Income College Students
State Budgets
Our Kids' Dreams...

EVERY STUDENT sharing a classroom with 30+ peers will be hurt.

There are no winners here.

. @RepMattHall & Michigan House Republicans just endorsed a $7 BILLION gut punch to our kids’ education.
Because that is how much they and the Trump administration gutted just this month from MI Public schools.

MAGA doesn’t want to fix public schools—they want to burn them down.

Jon Tester: “What [Trump] has proposed to do with the Postal Service is a nail in the coffin for rural America… 10% of the people who live in Montana are veterans. I’m amazed how little coverage this story has gotten. They’ve burned well over $16 million to briefly hold 290 immigrants and several photo ops to GITMO. Just a total train wreck and they didn’t even mention it officially. Check out my latest.

The headline really sanitizes what they did to this guy. Getting stripped naked, inadequate food, sleep deprivation sounds more like war on terror ear rendition than "interrogation."

Yesterday was a tough day. Many folks were mad as hll, disheartened & frustrated.

It's easy to focus on the Senators who let us down, but let's not forget about the Senators who did the right thing.

I made this graphic last night because I wanted to focus on the good Senators who fought for us. 🔊🎵
