This was what killed it for me. At one point the admin of my instance de-federated from .social--aka the place where the bulk of new users land--then reconsidered and re-federated, thus essentially soft-blocking half of everyone's follows, with no notice. Just casually severing people's connections.

Where can I find the discussion about an edit button around here? 😏😁
