The sad reality is, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't know there's a voter for the Speaker going on, don't care & won't be able to name him after the vote. This is what happens in a country where civics education is no longer universal. Its absence lets darkness settle in over democracy.

It should be a crime to have to attend your office job the day after Christmas 🫠 My brain is still in holly jolly peace and joy mode. I am tired. One excel file may just make my brain short circuit.

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that you can now commit illegal acts as a private citizen and then just get elected President of the United States and all your crimes go away.

Smith should NOT have dropped this case. He should've let Trump make a motion to dismiss and force the GOP Supreme Court to dismiss the case. Then the nation could see again how CORRUPT the Court is and how it is nothing more than an apparatus of the GOP. This is how democracies die!

If we are allowed to truthfully write about history in the future, then historians won’t hold back on what a monumental failure Merrick Garland has been.

I really planned on sticking around twitter until the bitter end, but I don’t know how anyone can tolerate it anymore. Every time I open the app it’s like I see the most hateful garbage I’ve ever seen in my life—and the bar is HIGH over there 🙃
