Back in my AIM days, my buddies and I did not know what the “foot in mouth” emoji actually was, so we called it the gas face. One day one of us actually thought to enlarge it and then we figured it out, but it was still the gas face. There should be a gas face emoji now. Vote 3rd Bass!
The AOL Instant Messenger emojis, including one with dazed eyes and a footprint over its mouth, which I understand to mean “put my foot in my mouth”. On a smaller screen it was not at all clear to me and my friends what that was supposed to be, so we called it the gas face, like the song from the Cactus Album by 3rd Bass.

Made a stop at Exile when driving through over the weekend. One of my favorite record stores to hit up. Picked up a copy of the record with the best cover ever.

This is from a Kids in the Hall sketch, right? The dude on the left is definitely a Bruce McCulloch character.

It is four late 60s dudes, with longish shaggy hair, most of them have mustaches. My wife noticed that the guy who looks like Bruce McCulloch appears to be wearing an afghan. As to be expected, one of the dudes has an open shirt, but surprisingly he does not have a hairy chest.

Achewood comic with Ray and Little Nephew. As relevant to this thread, in the second panel, we see Little Nephew from the shoulders down. He is wearing a shirt with striped sleeves. His underwear (tightie whites) is tucked into two separate single-legged pants with belts around the knee area. His tail comes out somewhere in the back. From where is unclear. He says, “Jeez! Shut UP Uncle Ray!” Though not germane to the thread, the final panel is worth noting. After their argument, Ray sits alone at his computer. He is writing in his electronic diary. The entry reads: Dear Diary, Today I yelled at Little Nephew again. I guess I really lost my cool this time, ‘cause a little while later this social services worker showed up to question me. I could see her thong underwear above her low-rise jeans, and pretty soon we were gettin’ mad-rutty.”
