Trump is admitting two things here. The first is that he has been serving Russian interests by protecting Putin on numerous occasions. The second is that Trump is feeling pressure to be harder on Russia, which he really doesn’t want to do.

People who are trying to say that Trump's deal is not so bad for Ukraine are not grasping the crucial nature of him trying to bully Ukraine into handing legal control of Crimea to Russia. This is the USA rewriting the internationally recognized borders of Europe to suit a dictatorship.

I think @ec.europa.eu should simply ignore Trump his tariffs.
The tariffs are unsustainable to the USA.
China responded and now USA<->china trade is basically impossible.
Why punish the Europeans because a spoiled child is having a tantrum?
I'd bet on ignoring him and see how he deals with it.
