Until yesterday, I had never heard of the Edmund Fitzgerald. After I saw one post on Facebook, I read a Wikipedia article on the topic. Now, my BlueSky is flooded with the ship. What's going on?

FWIW, the best tech people I know are ones who genuinely are interested in the humanities and also grasp that there are those who know more than they do (this also applies to people in general).
My theory is that tech bros hate humanities because they've all tried once to impress a girl studding English Lit by talking about a book and they were all laughed at for their complete misreading of the text.
*maximum alpha at 1.25x speed* continuously lives on in my head, unfortunately.

Ik begreep als 17 jarige al niet waarom we verondersteld werden Socrates te vereren maar zelfs bij de meest breeddenkende leerkrachten waren er taboe onderwerpen. Het leuke aan sociale media is dat je ontdekt dat er toch mensen zijn die hetzelfde denken.
In reeks over reputaties wederom stereotype van Socrates als moedige & wijze knuffelwijsgeer die o zo bescheiden was. Fanboy Plato bewierookt hem juist als fanatieke betweter die continu anderen onderbreekt & beschimpt en medeburgers & democratie diep diep minacht.
