1. There has been a lot of attention, rightly, on the Trump administration disappearing immigrants to El Salvador

But something that has gotten much less attention is the Trump administration WRONGFULLY DETAINING US CITIZENS they "suspect" are undocumented immigrants.
Federal immigration authorities wrongfully detain U.S. citizens
Immigration law in the United States is based on the idea that all people, regardless of how they entered the country, have rights.

“many women who are still paying, quite literally, for their decisions to speak out about the toxic workplace Cuomo fostered as governor. An investigation by New York State Attorney General Letitia James found that Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women while he was governor”
My legal bills as a nonparty will top $2 million before Cuomo’s legal abuse is over.

“I’ve spent roughly $1.5 million on lawyers so far…a figure that doesn’t include “hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of trauma therapy.”

Senator Elissa Slotkin had one of the most incisive lines of questioning of this hearing. Slotkin pressed Hegseth on whether he’d follow unlawful orders from Trump & cited Trump’s ask of Esper to shoot protestors.

Hegseth deflected. Did not refuse to execute unlawful orders.
SLOTKIN: Do you agree that there are some orders that could be given by the commander in chief that could violate the US Constitution?

HEGSETH: I reject the premise that President Trump is gonna be giving illegal orders

The courts matter.
The final House results have now landed as 220-215 for the GOP. That means the House majority came down to the 3 NC seats the GOP flipped thanks to its brand new gerrymander.

And that gerrymander hinged on NC's supreme court flipping in 2022.

One approach no one seems to be considering is that Democratic politicians could try being LESS strategic and just say what they actually think.
