Me and my 15 year-old son rely on SNAP and very much need help. As you pointed out - I am one of the people with a disability. A brain injury I received while caring for my son as a stay-at-home mom, so no disability. 😞

This is eugenicist social policy.

It means they want disabled people to die. They want poor people to die. They want elderly people to die.

Starvation is murder, by policy and by design.

This is all on purpose.

And it is 100000% unnecessary.

Take care of each other.

SNAP benefits mean that the disabled people (and all others) using them have more autonomy, privacy, and dignity in choosing what to eat, without the paternalistic judgment of others deciding what's best for someone else. Or assuming what's needed.

Added costs of living with a disability are both
(1) Things that disabled people need that are specifically disability-related, like assistive technology, medication, or mobility aid
(2) Things that disabled people pay for because of how their disabilities manifest, like paid help or food delivery

Disabled people must spend more money to stay alive. On average, disabled people must earn 28-29% more to have the same standard of living as otherwise comparable nondisabled people. These added costs of living with a disability (the "crip tax" or "disability tax") show up in all parts of life.

Food apartheid is also particularly catastrophic for people who
* have mobility impairments that affect opening food
* are autistic or have ARFID that affects what foods are safe to eat

SNAP benefits make it possible for the many disabled people (especially those who are multiply marginalized) relying on them to buy specific foods necessary to stay alive and stable. Food pantries/food banks often do not offer food reliably or at all that meets specific dietary requirements.

If you have extra money above what you need to take care of yourself and immediate kin, even if it's just $5, please consider giving directly to individual people.

Please consider donating to disabled people like me who are impacted by the November 2025 SNAP food stamps cuts directly, as we disproportionately have specific dietary issues not easily addressed by food banks and community outreach programs: paypal.me/molliekatie
Pay Mollie K Gathro using PayPal.Me
Go to paypal.me/molliekatie and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.

I'm one of the people who will not be receiving my usual SNAP Food Stamps Benefits for the upcoming month of November 2025, and Massachusetts just confirmed today that they will not be paying even a partial amount to those of us who are state residents either.

1. Today, the Iowa Legislature shamefully stripped transgender people from the State Civil Rights Act.

It becomes the first state to ever strip any group from a civil rights act.

There were powerful speeches, and huge protets.

We'll need help literally any time of day tomorrow -- so if you have 30 minutes available at some really weird time -- the answer is yes.
I'm tired of calling tortillas lunch, so $10 is also helpful! 💜

(Unless you are, in which case I guess just forward a chain letter or something? I dunno, straight culture is a mystery to me.)

Hia y'all. Sorry I've not been posting much; it's been a busy, stressful, but overall good month.
Unfortunately now we're hitting a tight spot. Our business BlindSighted is just getting started; my severance pay just ended -- and an insurance mix up has us about $500 short on rent! 😱
We need help! 👇🏼

This is such a saga. Do yourself a favor and follow the quotes all the way back. Truly a highly skilled and generally top tier feline criminal (aside from all the puking up her ill-gotten spoils, of course).
Surprising nobody but herself, I come home to find that she has thrown up her haul everywhere.

And then she threw up the dinner I gave her, too.

And now she has the brass ones to complain about wanting dinner.

A sign at a Walgreens in San Francisco. This is intimidating and will only turn people who want to get vaccinated away.

There's a CDC Bridge program that helps everyone get the updated COVID vaccine for free, yet isn't mentioned in the sign.
Got my COVID vax today free & easy by appt at Walgreens in SF where they already had my insurance on file.

BUT there was this intimidating notice posted there with no mention of the CDC Bridge program that offers free vax to everyone.

Local news also barely mentioned the program as a footnote.
