Would love for us to have a larger, frank conversation about how these attempts to privatize transit were a huge and intentional failure and that we need to stop falling for the flashy and just build some actual useful public solutions.

Would love for us to have a larger, frank conversation about how these attempts to privatize transit were a huge and intentional failure and that we need to stop falling for the flashy and just build some actual useful public solutions.

truly despise seeing stuff like this. sorry, but literate adults should be reading adult books at adult reading levels that challenge them or offer social/cultural perspective. you can read kids books too, have fun with it, but don’t act like you should be respected for it

souvlaki is a really good album and the most popular slowdive for a reason BUT their 2017 self-titled is by far their best album and i’ll die on that hill. if there is a better long hiatus-ending reunion album, i don’t know it

i feel like the best filmmakers working today tend to be the ones who are unafraid of sentimentality + incorporate genuine sociopolitical commentary/perspective while resisting the urge to make a wholly “moving” or “deconstructive” film
