Turkey pan on top of sheet pan bain Marie. The stuffing is underneath the inverted rack, on top of a sheet of oiled parchment paper to further protect it from burning on the bottom. Oven is starting at 400 degrees, but after 15 minutes will go down to 325 for the duration, hopefully 3 hours total.

The larger of them will stay at ambient temp and go under the roasting rack in a big mound when the bird goes in. The smaller portion will be chilled ice cold and placed under the neck flap, to help insulate the breast during roasting. Time to go in the oven will be 2:40, for a target 5:40 finish.

I certainly plan on having just the right proportion of Maillard Reaction-generated melanoidins and polyaldehydes, as well as that incomparably flavored byproduct 6-Acetyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyridine, incorporated into my roast turkey and dressing. Just wouldn't be the same without it!

What's the matter? Aren't you going to wrestle with me for it?? You're no fun! (sulks off)

Sounds like a good plan! The water bath is definitely good if you're going to bake the stuffing outside the bird. I have accidentally vulcanized it before without the benefit of that.

God knows, but the shoe does seem to fit.

The worst thing about being the next President after Trump will be that that person's entire first term will have to be about damage control, followed the biggest truth and reconciliation process in our history since the Civil War. There will be no time for anything else.

This story would have died in a matter of hours if Kegsbreth hadn't revived it and given it superpowers with his absurd overreaction. Even if they ultimately intend to use US troops on Americans, showing their asses like that over these statements is a totally bonehead play.

Definitely the most punchable face of 2025, which is quite an achievement this year.

That contemptible little Hitlerito needs to climb down right now, or he will never see the light of day again once we sort all this Nazi bullshit out.

As a 10th grader in my PG County, MD public school district, I had the amazing privilege of going to Goddard along with other science-oriented kids my age to see the images as they came down and listen to the running commentary from the NASA mission scientists. I'll never forget that experience.

Sorry, but turkey inflation is a tough case to make right now. Base-level frozen industrial turkeys at the Safeway in Alamo, CA, an affluent East Bay suburb, were $0.39/lb when I last went there. I bought a fancier one for my own table, but I was by no means taken aback at the price. Beef, OTOH...

I can hardly put into words how relieved I am at the electoral rebuke Trump received in the last election. I was afraid it was not going to go that way, and that we were in for a much harder lesson as a nation before our populace recovers its senses.

Amazing study. We are trying to get the PI to give a talk at our institute. Bowheads have other adaptations to protect genomic integrity as well, like many copies of the p53 tumor suppressor gene, which is mutated in a high proportion of cancers.

If this race is even competitive, there is going to be a GOP mass extinction event in Congress next year.

The brining bag is packed in ice in a big steel-belted cooler in the garage, to remain there until Turkey Day. Now, on to the stuffing...

What most certainly can be proven is what the odds ratio for getting an autism diagnosis is between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. And that ratio, if it is not exactly one, is only infinitesimally different from one to an astronomically high degree of statistical certainty.

The way they use the term "orthodoxy" to refer to the massive amount of time and effort required to disprove this link, not to mention the additional uncovering of the fraud that led to the initial spurious finding. The correct word for what that is is "truth".

I cannot imagine that 3d-printed bioengineered fake chicken could be any cheaper than just plain old chicken, especially the dark meat, so I call BS on first principles. That however does not make Campbell's soup particularly healthful or nutritious.
