This is true, BUT I also don’t think the Celtics have given up a single player they are going to want in 2026-27.

It’s true that there is no one right path to contention if you widen the scope of what counts as contention to “appearing in conference finals,” but I really kinda think that has literally always been true.
The road to a ring has never looked less familiar. With superteams long gone, there have never been more paths to title contention.
