Here's what often happens: these folks don't have ANY legal recourse. They're not in jail, they don't have lawyers or judges to help, so they just get thrown away and are essentially imprisoned indefinitely with no way out. So fuck this. FUCK THIS. The word "treatment" is a propaganda lie.

Apparently we need a reminder: Taking disabled people into STATE CUSTODY by force is not a good idea.

The list of people who don't get to have bodily autonomy is growing by the minute, and you might not think it applies to you today buuuut.... you might be surprised how fast it can.

fucking hell, this most certainly includes me in it then.

I kind of hate my younger self for doing this
“The initial data leak was… 1 million lines of data for Ashkenazi people.”

“The information… includes full names, usernames, profile photos, sex, date of birth, genetic ancestry results, and geographical location.”

Rights Without Remedies Might As Well Not Exist
In Acheson Hotels v. Laufer, the Supreme Court could further undermine this country's already shoddy system of civil rights enforcement.

I'll never understand the (what seems like willful) cognitive dissonance of able-bodied people when it comes to chronic illness. Like, the word "chronic" is in there, of course I still have the condition. Part of me wonders if it's fear of being "unhealthy" or "unwell" that causes this.
