She would have been 57 in July.
Thinking back, she is greatly responsible for who I am today. No longer a wedding DJ. Successful by many metrics.

She then went on to tell me that her husband had beaten colon cancer that had spread to his liver and urged me to get a colonoscopy.

When a flower is cut, i.e. disconnected from its vascular system, it cannot make new pollen. Technically, it can accept pollen in that pollen can be deposited on it but without the critical infrastructure, it cannot develop seeds.
