Reverse Superhero - Through the week, I fight credit card fraud as the Director of Compliance for an international company but on the weekends, I'm a mild-mannered nature and portrait photographer. Music historian, published poet, singer/songwriter, etc.

I spent the majority of the weekend ignoring social media and current events and focusing on writing a novel.

Then, I check things out in L.A. and think, "Man, this sh*t writes itself."

I spent most of the day birding. When I got home, I had to cut the grass. I went outside and found this.

Have a nice bug.

I take nature photos for fun. I take glamor/boudoir photos as a side gig. New camera and lens combination allows me to crop so I don't have to do separate detail shots if I don't want to. #flower #rose #glamorphoto #glamorphotography

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe. - John Muir

On the 9th anniversary of Prince's passing (Apr 21), I was notified that my ex girlfriend had passed away ten days earlier.

She and I loved Prince.

So the reality about being bipolar is that when I get depressed, I start looking for little things to make me happy, like seeing my favorite workers at the local stores. Not seeing them makes me feel like the world is conspiring against me. Add autism to the mix and I don't get sad, I get angry.

For me, it's the rusty blackbird. I love their gurgles. Saw 5-6 this morning while photographing meadowlarks. #bird #🪶

For the past 8 (?) years, I have been shooting wildlife primarily with a Sony a77ii and Tamron 200-500mm lens. My camera has been through a lot - rain, mud, snow, cross-country trips - and has brought me a lot of joy. The sensor badly needs cleaning. I think it's time...

Well, it was only a matter of time before "trans" was banned by the current administration so I would like to introduce your Cisportation Secretary, Sean Duffy!

Most people photograph northern harriers hovering while hunting, including all the fabulous gray ghost photos. Northern harriers also scavenge in the winter, especially when food is scarce. They will intimidate other birds away from their prey.
