In 2024, she saved two lives in two different structure fires. In her tenure she has earned two lifesaving awards, three Unit Citations, a Commendation for Excellence, and a Medical Service Award. Thank you Lt. Pastoor for your dedication and service to our hometown!

In last year's budget, I helped champion an $18 million investment in our museums statewide. In the next few years, we’ll see the benefits of those investments as many projects are slated to begin across the state. We are strongest when we invest in each other and the places we love.

It is so great to see the former Hackley Hospital property alive again with both the new Charles Hackley Middle School and the newly remodeled Hackley Community Care facility.

I look forward to working to find a solution that addresses changes to Michigan's tip credit and sick time systems as a result of last Summer’s Supreme Court ruling. I am proud to be thought of by leaders of both parties as a reasonable, principled voice for all Michiganders.
