No. If the teams go into the shootout with uneven numbers the side with more players removes players until they’re even. The rule is called “reduce to equate”.

Unfortunately Musovski was behind the ref when he blew the whistle so it likely didn’t look like Seattle had any chance to continue the attack. I also think he may have been looking for a chance to lean into the whistle to calm the game down a bit.

Doing a full concussion protocol after it was pretty funny tbh.

He’s trying so hard to not make the wrong call he’s just letting shit go.

But didn’t you see, the Minnesota player put in a cheap shot right before that so we can only deal with that foul. But also that isn’t a card either.

Like I get the ref is doing everything he can to avoid having to make a big call but you’re calling a foul for an off the shove in the back. Have a fucking spine.

100% agree. The term “violent conduct” was used just cause I think that’s what the red card was given for. Moose’s punishment (an extra game in leagues cup) was appropriate and I think MLS has the standing, and should use it, to punish Suarez in league matches.

It generally takes two to tango, but it is worth mentioning that while JB and Jackson both threw players to the ground they did not continue in the fight/try to instigate further which Miami players were doing.

There is seemingly precedence in both ways. Moose was allowed to play in MLS after violent conduct towards an official. But Dempsey had an MLS suspension for actions in the US Open Cup, which MLS has zero direct admin over.

Frei has a similar problem. They are consistently one of the best, but each year someone else is the best and beats them out for it.
