Phang: Where are Americans supposed to go now to get their news? They come here. They come to independent media because we are not controlled by corporate overlords.

This is the place you have to come now—because mainstream media is showing that it’s too scared to stand up to Donald Trump.

Conditions are shifting. Expect icy fronts to spread well beyond Los Angeles by tomorrow. Initial efforts aimed to freeze traffic and attention in LA, but local crews appear to have salted the roads early.

It is completely unlawful for ICE to turn away members of Congress like this. The law could not be more clear; no member of Congress may be denied access to a facility where ICE is detaining someone, and they cannot be required to schedule in advance. Surprise inspections must be surprise.
If ICE were acting entirely within the law and maintaining good conditions in all its facilities, they would not be turning Congresspeople away.

But they clearly aren't.

So, that’s actually not allowed…The Constitution isn’t optional, sir. This isn’t a reality show — it’s reality. Two terms, that’s it.
Trump is 'not joking' about third term, though Constitution says he can't serve
In remarks to NBC News, Trump also said "there are methods which you could do it." Trump would need either a two-thirds vote in Congress or a constitutional convention to serve a third term.

Powell on price stability: "I think we were getting closer and closer to that ... I do think with the arrival of the tariff inflation, further progress may be delayed. The SEP doesn't really show further downward progress on inflation this year and that's really due to the tariffs coming in."

A bunch of Trump’s most influential advisors are advocating for the US to leave NATO and the UN.

Short-sighted, reactionary morons.

You should really ask yourselves why anyone that has the US interests at heart would want us to leave the most powerful alliance in history.

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Even with the low job numbers, I think the Fed will hold steady and mortgage rates will stay around 7%. If we're lucky, the "Spring market" will be slightly better than last year but anything could happen.
The pace of hiring slowed slightly in January, signaling more subdued employment growth even as joblessness remained low. The numbers suggest that the labor market may be losing momentum as President Trump's policy agenda could affect both employment and the availability of workers. nyti.ms/4gvdgaa
