I feel like our current higher education system fails at making people employable but at the same time also fails at giving them space to learn for themselves. How change?

The insane thing to me is that political science hovers around 1-1.5 publications a year if I read this graph right. @donyhu.bsky.social seems to be quite the outlier in that case…

Did a workshop on Data, Desinformation and Democracy yesterday at a local sport club. The participants were squarely ages 40+ yet so immensely interested in the ways modern technology shapes society. Very impressed. Great questions as well!

Googles I/O, especially their audio engine, made me think again about how personal relationships will and are starting to (!) be impacted by AI. Heard the likes of “I talked to ‘Chatty’ the other day” way too often in the last few weeks to not be concerned. What does Putnam have to say about this?

I feel like conclave (the movie) added too much drama to the plot twist. It would’ve been perfectly fine without it and this way it felt overdone. Still great movie.
