Somewhere in a Roman brickyard, around 1800 years ago, a fresh tile was drying ahead of firing - until a dog trotted straight across it.

I will never not repost the dorky wolf by a mosaic artist who clearly overestimated his abilities.
Everyone’s favourite - the ‘Wolf and Twins’ mosaic from Roman Aldborough (Isurium Brigantum) depicting the legend of Romulus and Remus. Dating to the 4th century AD, the mosaic is now part of the collections at Leeds City Museum. 📷 My own. #MosaicMonday #RomanBritain

The last major task after moving into my new apartment is done: my new kitchen finally arrived! No more cooking on a makeshift portable stove and washing the dishes in the bathroom sink. 😄 And it looks so good too!

An often forgotten side effect of living in a slightly more rural setting: significantly more weird bugs that come and visit you when you keep the windows open too long. 😅(This one appears to be a 'red-legged shieldbug' also called 'forest bug'.)
