The drama when the dog's toy squeaker dies. Carries it around biting at it to tell you to fix it. So glad these are the ones with velcro for easy replacement. Little victories in life.

Not getting ahead of myself, as it is a long hockey season. BUT, the Avalanche are on fire. The Pioneers beat the CC Tigers in one of the oldest rivalries in college hockey. Happy days.

The Swainson's hawks will begin their autumnal migration to South America soon. For the time being, they are spending their afternoons gathering on a Century Link tower.

My heart is aching. Grand Canyon, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison are both consumed by wildfires. When you grow up and continue visiting the National Parks this is absolutely gutting

The first of my Denver Pioneer iris in bloom. They came from a hybridizer in south Denver, near DU, who no longer sells to the public. So glad I got this variety years ago.
