Anyone who believes that the Senators who voted for the non-deal did so without Schumer’s consent while he votes no for show is gullible & naive. You either do this with a plan and exit strategy or you don’t do it at all. There is a disconnect between Dem voters & Sen leadership.

In short: Shitty parties should get to enact shitty policies. An electorate that elects a shitty party should have to suffer the shitty consequences. And a party that enacts shitty policies should have to suffer the electoral consequences.
