Spent far too much on Hanabie goods so I have to cancel every game preorder of 2025 (except Prime 4 of course). VIP and signed poster worth it though.

I know I keep banging on about Linux, but I think it feels like a lot of us (rightly or wrongly) remember Windows being like before enshitification. No preinstalled junk, no Copilot, no OneDrive, just an OS. I genuinely hate having to switch to my W11 install to load a game Proton doesn’t like.

My in-laws in Japan are now sending me over Geki Rock magazine every month so I can better follow what bands are up and coming in Japan. I expected this to be mostly ads since it’s a ‘free’ (not really free) magazine, but it’s a proper full magazine of all actual articles.

Recently picked up a nice little OLED laptop with Ryzen 5600H and integrated Vega 7 for £219. Here’s why I like integrated graphics - aside from being quiet and cool, it forces me to play older or simpler games that get overlooked on my massively more powerful desktop. It’s like a GOG machine.

I actually don’t mind that this is a Switch 1 cart plus Switch 2 update - massively prefer that over Game Key Cards if that would have been the alternative for these small size games.

I went to our local GAME store for the first time in years, now hidden in the deepest, darkest corner of Sports Direct to make absolutely sure you don’t know it exists. Making you going on an adventure just to discover these prices. The people who run this chain are absurd

No longer have to worry about handhelds running out of battery, or having to use the Legion Go S at a lower TDP and sacrificing performance.

Trying to read the sumo magazine that in-laws sent me. As a student, I used to be good at Japanese reading but poor at speaking/listening. Exact opposite now - can speak and listen to people all day, but my reading has gone through the floor! :(

I’ve been messing with the Decky plugin for Lossless Scaling and it seems to work well. Using it to run Resident Evil 2 Remake at close to 120fps from a 60fps base
